MAYO GALLERY will be closing within a few days. Don Mayo has been in the critical cardiac unit at Citrus Memorial, with his heart rate dropping to 27. He now has a double chamber pacemaker and doing well. His wife, Sue will soon have a hip replacement. along with other surgeries from the severe car accident several hears ago. Just to make things more complicated, we have a sinkhole at our home and will have to be out of the house for 2-3 months.
Needless. to say it is unfortunate for the closing of MAYO GALLERY, but with other priorities going on we felt it best and then to reopen at a later date when we can further serve our customers.
Our telephone number will remain the same, 352-795-DUCK (3825) Please feel free to call us anytime and we thank you for your patronage.

Waterfowl and Marine Artist
Creating extraordinary works of art is what Don Mayo does best, and each creation is truly a reflection of his soul. His sensitivity and vast amount of research, with meticulous eye to detail, is reflected in each creation. Mayo's illumination of nature is what makes each creation as unique as the artist himself.
Being 90% deaf, Mayo has always appreciated and studied in depth, the many aspects of nature. Educated in Virginia, his experience, knowledge, and research in waterfowl and marine life continued when he worked for both the Virginia Commission of Game and Inland Fishery and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife. He is extremely well-known for his expert fly fishing, saltwater sport fishing, along with duck and marine guiding.
Mayo not only creates in the acrylic medium, but is well known for his carving ability and sculptures - both marine and waterfowl.
Crystal River, Florida is home for Don and his wife of 25 years, Sue.
